- ABOUT OUR PROJECT

- Grade 8 students were asked to
identify and research parts of the human body, as they studied Science Unit
- Cells and Systems. They identified the characteristics and functions of
each part and created both 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional models. Next,
students wrote a description about their body part that fully explained its
characteristics and how those special features worked to help us survive in
our environment. Once they researched a body part we tried to piece them
together to create a "whole" body system.
Students shared their research via an oral
presentation and created a human body model that showed where the body parts are
located and how they interact with each other.
